To quote The Byrds, "I am a pilgrim and a stranger."
Back in November 2008, my dad said he sure would like to see Sedona again. They had been thinking about a trip to see my mom's younger brother and his wife in Huntsville, Alabama. I got this crazy idea that maybe I should offer to do a roadtrip with them. Just a little bit of atonement for those times when I was less of a son than I might have been.
Then, in the spring of 2009, my wife and I hit on the idea of my building a country home for us. That project is substantively done, though months of clean-up and detailing remain.
So, what about the future. I'm starting out by looking back. I hope to publish one of my older photographs per day for all of 2011 (pushed by my son, Cole, and inspired by the emerging story of Vivian Maier).
I have also begun another current photo project, creating one new image per day for 2011. So far, I've taken an image per day; I'll be posting them on another blog shortly.
